## Season 1

### Soundtrack

The opening wasn't that great. I thought the mixing was horrible. Then, I listened to the official full version. It's so much better. It's too good of an anime opening for a 8/10 anime. I love how it's as upbeat as a traditional opening while still sounding reserved, like it's almost not an opening.

On the other hand, the ending song is just fine, really. It's a fun song sung by the VA of Rin, which is really nice. It fits the show well, and it's a pretty good song. I don't have much more to say about it. Not something I'd listen to every day, but it's a good song nevertheless.

### Thoughts

Pseudo Harem clearly isn't the greatest anime I've ever watched. Nor is it the greatest romance anime I've ever watched. It's good in a lot of aspects, but what it does best is focus on what it does good, which is the "pseudo harem" romance. The way Rin manages to act as multiple similar yet distinct characters is amazing. I think that without it, this would've been a generic romance anime. It certainly pushed the story a lot while also producing some comedic moments.

Moment to moment it felt like the story really flowed. It's pretty well written. The story could basically be split into 2 parts, before and after the confession. Of course, the confession even happened at around the 6th episode, which is perfect. I loved that the story allowed the two main characters' relationship to really develop. More than that, the way they interacted was so fun and interesting. I loved all of the personalities that Rin acted as. I loved how natural the love her and Eiji developed. It was just all so fluffy.

The story doesn't really get into any of the side characters so much. That's definitely why it's not a 9/10, but it's also a strong point of the story. The way the story emphasizes and focuses on Rin and Eiji is amazing. I really felt the fun, endearing and nervous personality that Rin had. When she knows what she wants, she goes and tries to get it. Eiji on the other hand, is a very relatable character, yet he isn't just a self insert. He has his own work, he also has wants. It just so happens that in the end it's revealed that they want the same thing: To be together. Amazing.

Overall, Pseudo Harem is an anime that commits to what it's strong at. It's a shallow pool of an anime. Fun, but not that deep. I'm glad I watched it despite the less than attractive title. 8/10 Gem-Gem. It's a fun romance anime that does the romance aspect really well, but it doesn't really have much else to offer. If you're looking for a fun romance anime, this is a good one to watch. If you're looking for something with more depth, this might not be the best choice.
