The soundtrack to Cosmic Princess Kaguya is really good. A lot of the songs are covers, and they're pretty good covers. There are also original songs, some of which have become staples of my playlist. Overall, the soundtrack is really good, and I highly recommend listening to it.

### Thoughts

Cosmic Princess Kaguya is a movie that really pays respect to its source material. I thoroughly enjoyed every song, every concert, and every single scene just by the animation alone. Moreover, the story is a very nice retelling of the Princess Kaguya mythos, now with a modern twist.

The story is quite great. I enjoyed both the virtual world parts and the real world parts. Maybe less so of the League of Legends segment, but I still found that part engaging. Iroha's backstory is great and relatable, along with her current living situation. Kaguya and Iroha's relationship is just as believably beautiful. The way they interact is so real, so intimate. I also really liked that it was YURI, and with that (obviously) how convoluted the plot is regarding their relationship is.

This movie has some really great visuals. I really like the animation style. The animation's very fluid, while the shading is also amazingly vibrant while keeping some pastel shades, which I really like. The virtual world's also animated very well, and every single animation sequence was really created with love. Oh, and I also enjoyed the scenes at the moon. That dithered pixelated artstyle is really cool. Not something you see much nowadays.

Overall, Cosmic Princess Kaguya is a movie I'd recommend to anyone. I'd give it a 10/10, but I'm not the ideal recipient of this movie. This movie is best enjoyed as someone who's into vtubers and vocaloid artists. It's an amazing Gem-Gem!
